About Us

The Jordan Institute is comprised of uniquely motivated staff whose collective experience includes energy policy, residential construction, engineering, project management, education, and architecture. Its board brings a range of perspectives and, importantly, awareness of the organization’s origins and history. As the Jordan Institute has grown over the years its mission has evolved to focus on climate change, which presents the greatest threat to date to public health and the environment – the two areas the Jordan Institute was created to address.

Jordan’s work is funded by a combination of fee-for-service green building consulting and grants from the foundations and federal and state agencies listed “here”.

The Jordan Institute is currently housed in downtown Concord, New Hampshire, in a brick building constructed in 1947 by the state Department of Transportation. Through renovation of its rented space to high green building standards, Jordan staff hope to transform this underutilized space into a regional center for demonstration of green design principles and technologies. Keep an eye on our news and events  page for updates about the renovation.
